It is uniquely beautiful and isolated with one of the entry roads being the Bealach nam Bo, the highest pass in Scotland at 626m above sea level; on a fine day, it will give you some of the most spectacular views in Scotland.

The secluded location creates a stunningly beautiful getaway, where the scenery, wildlife, community and atmosphere are full of enchantment. There is much to do, including wonderful walks, beachcombing, kayaking, fishing or wildlife watching, to enjoying excellent food in the award winning pub and Walled Garden restaurant. The Applecross Trust offers a variety of accommodation on the estate, where your neighbours will be deer and highland cattle, as well as the welcoming estate staff. With its strong sense of history and community, and its breathtaking landscapes, this is a place to treasure.

Faolinn Lodge

This self catering holiday property is set in the heart of the Applecross Estate. Faoilinn provides guests with the opportunity to watch varied wildlife, walk to the beach or the local village, and stroll along the Applecross River, exploring the delights of Wester Ross.

The property comfortably accommodates four persons. Faoilinn offers an all-round Scottish holiday experience in this exceptionally beautiful area, as well as the chance to feel part of a Highland Estate environment.

Part of the wing of Applecross House, the property is fully self contained with an internal passage connecting to Bramble Lodge. Holidaymakers can book the properties separately or together, to accommodate larger parties up to twelve.

Bramble Cottage

Bramble Lodge offers extremely comfortable and traditional self-catering holiday accommodation.

This holiday lodge is part of Applecross House and can be rented separately or along with Faoilinn Lodge, to create a larger property with an interconnecting passage.

With wonderful views from around the estate of the Cuillin Mountains of Skye and the hills of Raasay, the lodge is set in an extremely attractive area, making it an ideal Scottish holiday location, in the heart of Ross-shire.

The estate pedigree Highland cattle can be found grazing in fields around the lodge and wild deer are often spotted close by.

Hartfield House hostel

Sleeps 50.

Hartfield House is a Visit Scotland 4 Star hostel, set back from main North Coast 500 road, nestled amongst the mountainous landscape, shady trees, and bubbling river.

The Applecross peninsula boasts a breathtakingly beautiful and dramatic landscape. The main township of Applecross (‘a Chomraich’ in Gaelic, which means ‘sanctuary’) is located around the picturesque bay and enjoys uninterrupted views over the island of Raasay and the Cuillin Hills of Skye.

Hartfield House is approximately 3/4 mile from the bay, and reached via one of the highest routes in the UK, the Bealach na Ba; from the top, on a good day, you can see the islands of the Outer Hebrides. With the sheltered waters of the Sound and spectacular mountains right on the doorstep, Hartfield House is an ideal place to base yourself for walking and trekking, cycling, mountain biking, kayaking and climbing.

A large building set in its own grounds, Hartfield sleeps 50 in a mix of twin, triple, private and dorm rooms. There are hot showers, restful common areas, a dining hall, drying room, laundry, covered area for bikes, kit store, free WiFi, small shop, large garden, and venue for weddings and events. There is a local shop, and three restaurants within a 15 to 30 minute walk or 5 to 10 minutes in the car.

Jam Factory

The Jam Factory offers extremely comfortable self catering holiday accommodation for two. This natural stone property is situated privately with its own driveway and has separate parking. The interior comprises an open plan studio format: a cosy living area with wood burning stove, kitchen/dining area with all the latest amenities, and a large king size bed in the bedroom area.

Whilst providing the perfect Scottish holiday for people who enjoy the outdoors, the Jam Factory is just a 5 minute walk to the excellent Walled Garden restaurant, and a 20 minute walk from the main hub of Applecross, where The Junction, The Applecross Inn and The Coalshed gift shop can be found. The Jam Factory provides a great base to explore the scenic west coast of Scotland and all it has to offer. This secluded romantic getaway is ideal for a relaxing break.

Estate Office House

Arguably situated in one of the best locations in Scotland, on the edge of Applecross Bay, Estate Office House is a listed building full of character which has been completely renovated over a 2-year period and now offers a fantastic base for a wonderful west coast holiday. The house sits right on the shore line so open the back door and you are on the beach with views across Applecross Bay to Skye and Raasay.

Outside there is ample parking and an enclosed garden at the front which is ideal for kids and dogs. A moment’s walk takes you to the famous Applecross Inn - renowned for its food and friendliness. Other great eateries like the café and the Walled Garden are also within walking distance so you have plenty of choice if you want a break from catering.
